Installation Guide

To add a new theme to your WordPress installation, follow these basic steps:

  1. Download the zip file and extract the files it contains. The unzip file contains one big folder. The name of the folder is the theme name.
  2. Using an FTP client to access your host web server, create a directory to contain your theme in the wp-content/themes directory provided by WordPress. For example, a theme named mapleleaf should be in wp-content/themes/mapleleaf
  3. Upload the theme files to the new directory on your host server.
  4. Login to WordPress, click the “Presentation” tab and activate the theme.
  5. You are done. Enjoy the new look of your blog!

All TemplateLite themes don’t use any plugins.

Please contact us if you encounter problems with our themes and we’ll be glad to resolve the issues.

  1. I encountered the same problem trying to use Maple Leaf. Turning on short_open_tag corrected the issue. I’m running on PHP 5.2.6 as well.

  2. Nice job! Currently using Maple Leaf and love the look and efficiency.

Is there a way to list subpages under the parent page? I’ve have a few too many pages and some of them are not displayed because of the search bar also being in the page display header. I’ve tried to make some of them subpages but there are no links to the subpages evident unless I place a pages widget in the sidebar.

Thanks for any help you can offer…Jerry

  3. Michael, we’ll launch the new version of Maple Leaf in a few more days to fix this issue. Sorry it takes so long as we are busy with redesigning our new templatelite site.

  4. Jerry, is it the pull-down menu on the top menu that you wish to have? We are actually going to release all our themes with pull-down menu. I would estimate that will be done in November. Please check back this site for latest update.

  5. Yes…a pull down menu showing the sub-pages under the parent page would be great. I will check back in November. Keep up the beautiful work.
